Creating with Stencils...

Hi Friends, First time posting in this New Year! What???? It's October! Well Friends...I have spent this year and actually last year also, trying to figure out exactly what it is I wanted to do. I absolutely love creating and it's always been in paper crafts. I still do that on occasion, but I find doing DIY projects are just plain Fun...Right now I'm getting ready for the holidays and want to share with all of you. I'm going to start with a quick video on just how simple it is. My new favorite medium are silk stencils! Can I just say love! Now you can purchase bread boards from Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree, just about any place. Tomorrow, I will give you an update on exactly where my stencils, paste, and in this case my bread board came from!  All I will say is Bread Boards are HOT right now in home decor. More to come. Can I just say how EASY this is!  I am back and very excited to get going in my new creative endeavor! Have a fabulous, creative day, Sandy

Happy 2022

Image
Hi Friends, Well, here we are 14 days into the New Year, when I realized I haven't even wished anyone a happy healthy, prosperous New Year. So Happy 2022!!! The holidays were very quiet and lonely, I missed seeing family and my Grandkids, however because of health issues, the winter months everyone seems to be fighting off flu or colds or Covid, which seems to not want to go away! So, beginning in Oct. all the way till about May, I isolate so that I don't get sick because I do have a compromised immune system and am on Oxygen 24/7. So, with all that being said, I want to share some things that I plan on doing this year. I hope to make more cards and start a card ministry, which I intend on sending to Nursing Homes, Women's Shelters, and anyone who needs to be cheered up! I do hope to share the cards I make on this blog in hopes to inspire you to start making cards. I also decided to try my hand at art journaling using Elizabeth Craft Products. I've never been one for j...

Hi Friends, Today I have for you, a One Sheet Wonder to create 10, yes 10 Christmas Cards from one sheet of 12x12 Designer Paper or double-sided printed paper. This is not my idea; it is one I found on Glenda Calkins blog. She also has a you tube video on how to make the cards I'm showing you.  I made 2each of three of the fun folds, 1 ea of 2 different fun folds, and 2 regular cards. Here is the template I used . This comes from Glenda's Calkin's Blog....Thank you Glenda💖 What's different from her cards is that I chose to stamp sentiments on the inside of my cards so I used two Stamp Sets from Stampin' Up...  Supplies I Used: Designers Series Paper I used, Peaceful Prints, use what you have and match your cardstock to the paper. I'm just showing you what I used. Hi Friends, Come along with me for some fun... I thought for the our first project we could do a   Ghiradelli chocolate treat holder! This little matchbook-style box holds two chocolate squares and is easy to put together. These are fun to give out to cashiers and just about anybody when your out and about doing your errands and it's sure to put a smile on their face. My Elf says "this is the season of jolly and Falalala"! You can use any color cardstock I used Blushing Bride because it matched my designer paper. I used products from Stampin'Up. Ghirardelli Chocolate Treat Holder Measurements and Details:   Blushing Bride Cardstock: 10” x 3”  On the long side, score at 3-1/4” 6-1/2” and 7-1/4”  Die cut a 2-1/2” x 1-1/8” Stitched Rectangle from the Blushing Bride cardstock, leaving a 1/4” strip of cardstock between the die cut rectangle and the edge. What have I Been Up To?

Hi Friends, Well it's been a long time since I've been here on my blog. The reason being I lost my love of crafting. I've been struggling for awhile and even though I've been still purchasing all my favorite crafting products, in hopes of regaining my love for paper crafts and stamping, the truth is all I'm doing is accumulating stuff and still not making anything. So I've decided to give up direct selling completely. I haven't done classes for a very long time, nor do I sell products, I stayed in as a hobbiest and bought for myself meeting quotas to stay active. This is where I'm at right now. This blog is to help me get back to crafting for me. Come along if you like, if not, that's ok too. I have recently started to make some cards to send this year for Christmas. In the next few days I will begin posting some of the cards I've made. I will also start removing things from my blog that are of no use. This is now my hobby blog, where I can po...
